Patient Triage

What is Patient triage?

Patient triage is a better, more effective way of dealing with the clinical queries and clinical requests that you submit to us. These will now be triaged by a GP before anything is done with the request or query.

How it works

The system will allow patients to contact us without having to call for non-urgent medical queries and requests. You will be able to submit a request from 5:00am – 10:00am every working day. This will help reduce the rush of phone calls at 8:00am, book a more convenient day and time or you, be able to put you with a GP you choose (if available).

Once you have submitted your online request a GP will clinical Triage your request between the hours of 9:00am – 15:00pm, if deemed clinically appropriate the GP will Either:

Give you an on the day telephone or face to face appointment with the appropriate clinician.

OR give you a routine appointment with an Appropriate Clinician e.g. GP, Advance Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist etc

OR direct you to another service

All Non-clinical queries will be handled by our admin team

  • Ask about a referral
  • Request a sick note
  • Ask about test results
  • Any other Admin request
